Anne selected this extraordinary daylily to name after her mother who was a very strong and beautiful woman, and lived to the age of 98. This daylily has many of her fine characteristics. A. F. is an unusual deep rose with a glowing rose purple watermark and a fine white edge accenting each petal. A.F. has a triangular shape with great substance and veining (extraordinary presence in the garden). One of its strongest attributes is it’s extreme colour fastness under all conditions and it looks as good at the end of the day as it did in the morning (Extended bloom). A.F. has 3 to 4 way branching with 16 to 23 buds which gives it a long bloom period. It is fragrant, beautifully veined and pod & pollen fertile .

I m So Pretty

We went out into the garden one morning and when I saw this seedling my reaction was, “That is SOOO pretty” and it is! Twelve Mile Memories

When Anne was a young girl (not long ago). she spent many great summers at her family cottage on Twelve Mile Lake in the Haliburtons. So when she looks at this lovely flower in the garden she remembers those special days of her youth. Very unusual lavender to pink to cream blended from the outer edge to the centre of the flower. Slightly recurved and nicely ruffled with great substance. I have not seen any flower quite like this.
